Pete Buttigieg: Trump Supporters Are ‘Committed Racists’, ‘Whose Vote I’m Never Going To Get’

South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg called supporters of President Donald Trump who chanted “send them back”, referring to “The Squad” of Democrat congresswomen who seem to hate America, a group of “committed racists” and said he has no intention of trying to court their vote in a general election.

Adam Wren, a POLITICO content editor, says Buttigieg called supporters of President Trump “committed racists” in an interview, and said he has accepted he will never get the vote of Trump supporters in a general election.

“I asked @PeteButtigieg whether he wanted to win over Trump voters who chanted ‘send her back’ last night,” wrote Wren.

According to Wren, Buttigieg responded that “No, the reality is there are a lot of committed racists whose vote I’m never going to get and that’s alright,” and continued “there are a lot of people who simply voted to burn the house now.”
