Behar Attacks Ivanka For Serving Treats At Kids’ Party; ‘Anything To Undo What The Obamas Do!’

July 21, 2017

Seemingly short on anti-Trump material Wednesday, the hosts on The View went after Trump’s daughter Ivanka for a recent social media post.“The first family knows how to make noise on social media, as we know” host Whoopi Goldberg scolded, before explaining what Ivanka did.

“But Ivanka Trump ignited a raging debate after posting this photo of a treat at her daughter’s sixth birthday party,” she stated. The View producers then put up a photo of Ivanka’s Instagram post, showing hot dogs on sticks with marshmallows and a caption that read, “Keeping it healthy ;).” Whoopi had to explain to the rest of the puzzled panel what the food was.

“I knew what it was. Because I’ve actually had these,” Whoopi said before Hostin chimed in to add that they were a popular kids treat, particularly in the Philippines.

But virulently anti-Trump host Joy Behar only had negative things to say about the completely apolitical picture. “What I want to know is, is it kosher? Because Ivanka is Jewish. They better be Hebrew National,” she quipped.

After the panel chuckled, Behar got more direct with her uncharitable jokes, even going so far as to say that this picture was an overt attack against Michelle Obama:

“Also, also, Michelle Obama got so much heat for cooking healthy. You know? This whole family, they’ll do anything to undo what the Obamas do, including hot dogs and marshmallows!” she stated.

Though Behar seemed to be joking in this instance, the comment wasn’t a far cry from her usual hyperbolic attacks against anything the Trump family does.
