Bernie Sanders Doesn’t Think Sexual Assault Is Bad When Democrats Do It

Bernie Sanders is hypocrisy personified. He bills himself as a socialist and yet he’s rich and owns 3 mansions. He rages against the big banks and their alleged wrongdoing, but finds himself the subject of a federal bank fraud investigation. Keeping with the theme, as a liberal he only feels sexual assault is outrageous when it is committed by a conservative. Of course he a documented pervert, so maybe like everything else, he’s not the right guy to ask about this stuff.

Sanders was on CNN Sunday when host Jake Tapper asked him about the Al Franken sexual assault scandal.

“Do you think Al Franken should resign?” Tapper asked.

“I think that’s a decision for Al Franken and the people of the state of Minnesota. My understanding is that Al is a very popular senator. People in Minnesota think that he is doing a good job, and his future will rest with the people of Minnesota,” Sanders said.

Franken, a democrat, is accused of forcibly kissing a woman and then taking a picture of himself grabbing her breasts as she slept. According to Sanders, this behavior is fine as long as the people of Minnesota are cool with it and the only punishment Franken should face is possibly not getting reelected.

Sanders was also asked if he thought that Bill Clinton should have resigned over his extracurricular sexual activities, including rape and sexual assault.

“Look, I don’t think that at this moment our goal is to look back 20 years or 30 years. Our goal is to go forward,” replied Sanders.

What about looking back 40 years, because that’s when Alabama Senate candidate Judge Roy Moore supposedly had inappropriate sexual contact with underage girls. Unlike with Franken and Clinton, there is no credible evidence to support the accusations, but Bernie feels much different about what should happen to the Republican.

Earlier this month on MSNBC Chris Hayes asked Sanders what he thought about the Roy Moore allegations:

“Let us hope that he will not be my colleague, or anybody else’s colleague. You know, I think you have heard, Chris, that there are a number of Republicans who are saying that at this particular time, given these horrific charges against Mr. Moore, that it would be appropriate for him to step aside,” said Sanders.

You got that? Republican Roy Moore is accused of something with no evidence and he should step aside. Democrat Al Franken takes a picture of himself sexually assaulting a woman and it’s up to the voters to decide. Democrat Bill Clinton was impeached, disbarred, and successfully sued for his perverted ways and Sanders wants to look to the future.

I’m sensing a pattern here. It’s almost like if a Republican does something, or is even just accused of something, that it’s really bad, but if a democrat does something much worse, it’s not a big deal at all. If I didn’t know better I’d say there is a double-standard at work here.

Bernie Sanders believes that little children should have sex, that women fantasize about being raped, and that orgasms cure cancer. What he doesn’t believe is that Al Franken or Bill Clinton did anything wrong because they are liberals. Of all of his hypocrisies, this is by far the worst.
