Maxine Waters Pins ‘Hopes’ On Mueller- ‘Should Have Moved Faster’ To Impeach Trump

Maxine Waters believes America is nearing a “constitutional crisis” and that the only remedy is to remove President Trump from office. The California congresswoman appeared on MSNBC on Friday and was tossed softballs by a panel eager to watch her rant.

“I’ve long thought that there was a lot of smoke, even fire,” Waters said of alleged proof of conspiracy involving Trump’s campaign and Russia.

“Everything that I have learned about this president, starting with the campaign itself. People should have understood that there was something terribly wrong with him,” she said.

“I think he’s the most deplorable person I have ever met in my life. And I think when you take a look at his allies and some in his Cabinet, all of these people around him with connections to the Ukraine or to Russia or to oil, everybody should have known that,” Waters said.

“We should have moved faster,” she said of trying to oust him from the presidency.

“Our intelligence committees have not moved fast enough,” she said, adding he has her “hopes” in Robert Mueller.

“I think we are nearing a constitutional crisis,” she said.

“Wow,” Mika Brzezinski responded, without following up to get an explanation for the claim.

Waters believes “we have been talking about this president transitioning or becoming presidential long enough. It’s not going to happen.

“He is a flawed man with no real values, and no real appreciation or understanding for government or public policy,” she claimed.

She went on, “I have no hopes that anybody is gonna be able to contain him or that he’s going to change.”

“Huh,” Brzezinski responded.

During the interview, Waters was forced to admit that she has no evidence of a financial connection between Trump and Russia and that no Republicans stand with her as she demands impeachment.

In the process, she spun a new yarn of conspiracy.

“I believe that this president tried to convince Putin that he could lift those sanctions. I believe that he had Putin believing that he had the power and the influence to do that, and this is what I think it’s all about,” Water said, before alleging that Trump is interested in financially benefitting from Russia drilling in the Arctic.

Waters went on to claim political consultant Roger Stone is involved in the “sanctions issue.”

Joe Scarborough and the panel called the relationship between Putin and Trump “romance gone bad”.

“Scorned lovers — Vladimir Putin, Donald Trump,” Scarborough said.

“That’s right,” Waters added.
