The Government’s Phony Economic Numbers – John Williams Breaks them Down

On this special Throwback Episode of Blunt Force Truth, Chuck Woolery and Mark Young talk to economist John Williams, who researches and analyzes the real economic figures that the government doesn’t want you to know about. The numbers we get from headlines, Wall Street, the Bureau of Labor Statistics or the White House are manipulated to manufacture a positive response from citizens.

In reality, the numbers are usually much worse than are reported. Williams discusses how the government finds ways to generate certain calculations to determine policy, such as the inflation rate.

The Fed justifies their actions based on faulty data. The stopgap measures taken by recent administrations to handle economic challenges fail to address any real issues pushing our nation toward bankruptcy.

Based on the actual data, Williams makes some predictions on what will happen with the economy, offers advice for individuals, and talks about why he thinks the U.S. dollar will soon essentially be worthless.

Walter J. Williams, known as “John,” received an A.B. in Economics, cum laude, from Dartmouth College in 1971. He was awarded a M.B.A. from Dartmouth’s Amos Tuck School of Business Administration in 1972, where he was named an Edward Tuck Scholar. During his career as a consulting economist, John has worked with individuals as well as Fortune 500 companies.
