White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders fired-back at Hillary Clinton on Thursday, blasting the former Democratic nominee for “hypocritically” smearing Donald Trump with one of the greatest “political witch-hunts of all time.”
Sanders was speaking with Fox News when she was asked to weigh-in on the recent controversy engulfing Clinton’s campaign and the DNC.
“I heard the President say a number of things with regard to the latest revelations here. He’s arguing it’s full vindication. Does he believe now that this reporting from Tuesday night gets him off-the-hook?” asked Fox News’ Bill Hemmer.
“I don’t think he ever felt like he was on-the-hook. He’s known all along that the accusations were a huge hoax, one of the greatest political witch-hunts of all time,” said Sanders.
“This further proves if there was anyone colluding with the Russians to influence the election, look no further than the Clintons, look no further than the DNC. This is hypocrisy at its highest level and I think it may be a new low in American politics,” she added.
“Everything that the Clinton campaign and the DNC were falsely accusing this President of doing over the last year were actually doing themselves. This is a major scandal for the Democrats,” said the Press Secretary.
