2 Muslim Terrorists Busted in Plot to Kill UK PM

Appeasement never works. And yet its popularity is in inverse proportion to its effectiveness.

And here we go with yet another major UK terror plot. It went nowhere, but ambitious terror plots that look silly when they fail, are quite horrifying when they succeed. And sometimes they succeed. This one failed. The next one may not.

Two Muslim men are suspected of conspiring to attack Downing Street armed with an improvised bomb, suicide vest and knives.

Investigators suspect the pair wanted to detonate a bomb disguised as a bag. They would then attempt to kill Theresa May armed with a suicide vest, pepper spray and knife in the chaotic aftermath.

Naa’imur Zakariyah Rahman, 20, and Mohammed Aqib Imran, 21, will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday charged with planning terror attacks.

That’s 2. How many more are there?

Demographic pressures through migration and growth raise the terror risk. The crowdsourcing of terror innovated by Al Qaeda and perfected by ISIS generates lots of terror plots. As the number grows, law enforcement will have even more trouble keeping pace. And even a bad plot can succeed if the timing is right.

The problem is obvious. And so are the solutions. Denial isn’t one of them. Neither is appeasement.
