Democrats won’t give $5.7 billion for a border wall, but they want to give $100 billion to virtue signal.
Marianne Williamson, a best selling author and 2020 Democratic candidate, appeared on CNN’s “New Day” late last week and called for $100 billion in reparations for African-Americans for slavery.
“We need a moral and spiritual awakening in the country,” Williamson said.
“Nothing short of that is adequate to fundamentally change the patterns of our political dysfunction,” she added.
“We need someone to articulate what’s happening, the deeper levels of moral dysfunction,” she continued.
“I have had a 35-year career in naming and transforming those dynamics. That’s my qualification for the presidency at this time,” she said.
As CNN anchor John Berman lobbed softball questions about her proposal — which would certainly face an uphill battle in Congress — it became clear that Williamson is dead serious about it.
