It’s a shocking and unexpected development considering that in the previous attacks, the majority of casualties turned out to be from Hamas.
The latest information is that 50 of the 62 casualties from the Hamas violence were members of Hamas. Another 3 were from Islamic Jihad. As Jewish Agency spokesman Avi Mayer points out, that means 85% of the casualties were members of terrorist groups.
And Hamas hasn’t been shy about announcing as much.
