Acting Director of National Intelligence Joseph Maguire testified before the House Intelligence Committee today, as Democrats attempted to paint the picture that President Donald Trump committed an impeachable offense for a conversation he had with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in July.
A rough transcript of the conversation was released publicly yesterday, and a complaint filed by a CIA whistle-blower regarding Trump’s alleged inappropriate behavior was released to the public today. Democrats attempted to capitalize on this news during the hearing but failed abysmally, as there was nothing that could be considered improper in any of the disclosed documents.
Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), who serves as Chairman of the Intelligence Committee, simply replaced the real transcripts with ones made up by himself in his opening statements. He was called out by Rep. Mike Turner (R-OH) for his stunning dishonesty shortly afterward.
