Lyin’ Joe is at it again.
Up until the 2016 election, Obama Inc. was hard at work appeasing Vladimir Putin. But then, the Hillary campaign paid Fusion GPS to produce the Steele dossier. The dossier was used to eavesdrop on Trump associates and then to generate the Mueller investigation to remove him from office. The problem was all that inconvenient history of appeasement by Obama. But let Uncle Joe explain.
Biden: McConnell stopped Obama from calling out Russians
Joe Biden said Tuesday that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell stopped the Obama administration from speaking out about Russian interference in the 2016 campaign by refusing to sign on to a bipartisan statement of condemnation.
Except McConnell did sign on.
McConnell’s office disputed this account, pointing to a letter signed by all four congressional leaders in September 2016 and sent to the president of the National Association of State Election Directors, urging cybersecurity precautions in light of reports of attempted hacking.
Details, details. Everything Obama did is the fault of the Republicans.
When the Democrats decided to run on restoring relations with Russia in ’08 (which they blamed on Bush and the Iraq War) that was McConnell’s fault. Hillary’s Reset Button? All McConnell. Obama deciding to cut a deal with Russia’s Iranian allies to let them have nuclear weapons and dominate the Middle East, while illegally shipping billions to them in foreign currency, that was McConnell’s idea.
Biden was speaking at an event hosted by the Council on Foreign Relations, a block from his old office at the Old Executive Office Building, to discuss his new article in the latest issue of Foreign Affairs, “How to Stand Up to the Kremlin.”
