Joe Biden urged a union president to use physical violence to teach a Republican congressman a lesson.
While campaigning for U.S. Sen. Heidi Heitkamp in North Dakota on Thursday, Biden slammed her opponent, Congressman Kevin Kramer.
Likening Kramer to a “lying dog face pony soldier” from a John Wayne movie, Biden said, “These guys are amazing. They just stand up, flat out, stand up and say things that are absolutely mind-boggling.”
Reading off a piece of paper, Biden said Kramer called soybean farmers’ concerns about an apparent lack of orders “hysteria” and that they “don’t have a very high threshold for pain,” prompting boos from the audience.
“Well, I get that the president of the trade union is up here, he’ll show him a threshold of pain,” Biden threatened.
