Bolton Confesses: Impeachment Testimony Would’ve Been Nothingburger

John Bolton admitted at an event at Vanderbilt University on Wednesday night that any testimony he would’ve given at Senate impeachment proceedings would’ve been inconsequential.

People can argue about what I should have said and what I should have done. I will bet you a dollar right here and now my testimony would have made no difference to the ultimate outcome.

Bolton’s remarks casts serious doubt on the potential of President Trump asking for the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, to investigate Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden with corrupt intent.

Democrats, and some Republicans such as Mitt Romney, desired to hear Bolton testify at impeachment proceedings in order to properly gauge the context of President Trump’s controversial phone call in July 2019.
