White House Counsel Pat Cipollone told House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler on Wednesday that the White House will not comply with his Committee’s requests, calling the investigations an ‘unauthorized do-over’ of Mueller’s probe.
In March, the House Judiciary Committee launched a massive investigation into Trump officials and over 80 subpoena’s went flying.
“Congressional investigations are intended to obtain information to aid in evaluating potential legislation, not to harass political opponents or to pursue an unauthorized ‘do-over’ of exhaustive law enforcement investigations conducted by the Department of Justice,” White House counsel Pat Cipollone wrote to Nadler citing Mueller’s massive inquisition.
