Did former CIA Director John Brennan threaten President Donald Trump with an ominous warning?
On Monday, Trump took to Twitter to hit back at the Southern District of New York for filing a memo that alleges he may have been involved in campaign finance violations.
In the memos, Michael Cohen, the president’s former attorney, provided information about allegations that Trump may have been involved in the $130,000 that was paid to adult film star Stormy Daniels in Oct. 2016.
Daniels, who claims she had an affair with Trump over a decade ago, was reportedly paid as part of a nondisclosure agreement that she signed.
In his tweet, Trump defended himself and noted that former President Barack Obama’s 2008 campaign was fined $375,000 by the Federal Election Commission for campaign violations.
