Before the bodies were even cold, former comedian Chelsea Handler blamed “Republicans” for the tragic massacre at a Texas church on Sunday morning.

At 11:30 a.m. local time, church-goers at First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs, Texas were attacked by an armed gunman. At least 20 have been confirmed dead, and a two-year-old child has been listed among the injured. The shooter, who was reportedly a male in his mid-to-late 20s, was apprehended by police officers after the shooting and either committed suicide or was killed.
We know little about the shooter or his motives and those killed lived in a county that overwhelmingly voted for Republican President Donald Trump during the 2016 election (72.7% per NPR). But none of this matters to Handler. She saw an opening to bash Republicans and score cheap political points for her anti-Second Amendment crusade, so she took it.
A real class act, that Handler.
