‘Clock Boy’ defamation lawsuit bombs in court — Teen’s case dismissed against pundit who ridiculed student

Ahmed “Clock Boy” Mohamed’s time is up, as one Twitter user put it.

“@Kirt Schlichter cleaned his clock,” Bored_In_America posted.

Schlichter represented conservative columnist Ben Shapiro against Mohamed’s 2016 defamation lawsuit, which demanded apologies and retractions and damages from folks who criticized the situation the teen created at his Texas school.

Mohamed, then 14, brought a ticking clock to class at MacArthur High School in Irving, Texas that looked suspiciously like a bomb, and repeatedly refused teachers’ instructions to put it away. A teacher reported the device and Mohamed was questioned about it and suspended, but not charged with a crime.

President Obama reached out to the Muslim teen on Twitter to praise the boy for his “cool clock” and invite him to the White House as social justice warriors raged over alleged racial profiling and Islamophobia.
