Popular gun manufacturer Colt is suspending production of AR-15 rifles for civilian use, as the left continuously calls for the guns to be removed from the market and confiscated from their owners.
Colt’s president and chief executive, Dennis Veilleux, wrote in a statement that they believe there are already enough AR-15s on the market to meet demand for the foreseeable future.
“The fact of the matter is that over the last few years, the market for modern sporting rifles has experienced significant excess manufacturing capacity. Given this level of manufacturing capacity, we believe there is adequate supply for modern sporting rifles for the foreseeable future,” the statement read.
The Connecticut-based company will continue making the weapons for the military and law enforcement.
