Congressional Candidate Was Arrested and Charged for Attempted Murder in 2016

A Republican candidate for Florida’s 22nd Congressional District was arrested and charged with attempted murder in 2016.

Javier Manjarresknown in political circles as the publisher of The Shark Tank blog, was detained by the Broward County Sheriff’s Office on Saturday,” wrote FloridaPolitics.com.  “According to an arrest form provided to FloridaPolitics.com by the Broward County Sheriff’s Office, the 43-year-old was charged with one count of attempted murder and two counts of burglary conveyance with battery.”

He was eventually released on $50,000 bond, and later the charges were dropped. Here is the arrest form:

 

Manjarres allegedly broke the nose of his sister’s boyfriend Jason Holowinski and fired a weapon at Holowinski as he drove off, leaving three bullet holes in the vehicle.
