A Congressman and 2020 Democratic Party presidential candidate vowed in a Tuesday Tweet to hire appoint a female to be his subordinate running mate.
“SPOILER ALERT: I’m a white man. I know where I can’t speak to someone else’s experience and I pledge to: (1)Pass the mic (2) Ask a woman to serve as VP,” Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.) said on Twitter.

He attached a clip of himself being interviewed on MSNBC.
“I don’t think anyone’s identity should hold them back,” Swalwell said. “But I think the next President should see all races, all identities, but recognize where you can’t speak for someone else’s experience, and pass the mic to someone who can.” […]
