A Democrat member of the House of Representatives is encouraging critics to give Virginia Attorney General Mark Herring, who admitted to wearing blackface at a party in the 1980’s, a pass for his racist actions.
“I think it’s more about values,” said Rep. Don Beyer (D-Va.) on CBS’s “Face the Nation.” “We would move from a progressive, very strong attorney general to someone who’s not just a Republican but someone who’s on the arch-conservative end of it.”
In other words, Republican values, which do not include wearing blackface, are still worse than progressive values, which do include wearing blackface. At least the Democratic Party is finally showing its true colors. It never really cared about “social justice” or “political correctness,” or any of the other crap it has been shoving down the throats of unwilling Americans for decades. All it cares about is power. In this case, it is willing to give racism a pass in order to keep power.
