Elizabeth Warren spoke in condemning terms about some of Democratic frontrunner Bernie Sanders’ supporters when speaking to NBC News on Tuesday, calling out some Sanders supporters for operating with a “foundation of hate.”
Sanders’ competitors and liberal mainstream media outlets have increasingly tried to tar his supporters in an effort to blunt the candidacy of the democratic socialist, as he appears well-positioned to take the nomination.
Warren’s previously warm relationship with the Vermont democratic socialist turned sour last month, when the Massachusetts Senator claimed Bernie told her a woman couldn’t be President. Sanders denied the accusation, and Warren went on to accuse him of calling her a liar on a live debate stage.
