Former FBI Special Agent Peter Strzok was fired on Friday for violating bureau policies; his lawyer confirmed the firing Monday morning.
FBI Deputy Director David Bowdich ordered the firing of Strzok after the Office of Professional Responsibility recommended Strzok only be suspended and demoted.
In June, Inspector General Michael Horowitz referred Strzok’s findings to the Office of Professional Responsibility for investigation and possible disciplinary action.
While the media is mainly reporting Peter Strzok was fired for his anti-Trump text messages, there are many other reasons why he was canned, according to former FBI agents who spoke to investigative reporter, Sara Carter.
