Former Special Counsel Robert Mueller agreed to testify before open House committee hearings on July 17 following issuance of a subpoena compelling his appearance. Democratic Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-NY), Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee and Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee announced the news Tuesday night.
Democrats are hoping Mueller will give them the excuse to start impeachment proceedings for President Trump for his non-collusion with Russia during the 2016 campaign. The Obama administration spied on President Trump and then the Obama deep state attempted a soft coup to remove him as president. Democrats have not given up on this fantasy just yet.
