As Fox News first reported Thursday night, Google staffers discussed skewing search results to promote leftist immigration causes after President Donald J. Trump announced a temporary halt on immigration from seven primarily Muslim nations early this year.
“According to the email chain, Google staffers suggested actively countering ‘islamophobic, algorithmically biased results from search terms ‘Islam,’ ‘Muslim,’ ‘Iran,’ etc.’ and countering ‘prejudiced, algorithmically biased search results” regarding the words ‘Mexico,’ ‘Hispanic’ and ‘Latino,’” the report said.
Of course, what is “islamophobic” or “prejudiced” is entirely subjective and open to interpretation. If interpreted by leftists in Silicon Valley, everyone to the political right of Stalin is a bigot.
