Monday, in a pathetic last-ditch effort to sway even a single Republican’s vote, Lead House Manager Adam Schiff predicted that “History will not be kind to Donald Trump,” and warned his captive Senate audience:
“If you find that the House has proved its case and still vote to acquit, your name will be tied to his with a cord of steel and for all of history.”
Seems placement in history is of great concern to these Democrats. Not really the Republican Senators’ or even the President’s, of course, but rather their own, which is likely scaring the hell out of them right about now.
Equally alarmed are their cronies in the Mainstream Media, who, Schiff’s beseeching notwithstanding, have properly capitulated the closing arguments in President Trump’s impeachment trial as “aimed more toward history than to sway the outcome.”
That same Trump history their paper of record hilariously and hastily decries as “stained.” And the same inexorable outcome easily foreseen by all persons enjoying the benefits of above room temperature IQ — right from the get-go, lo those many, many months ago.
