Trump has stated repeatedly that he has absolutely no interest in starting a war with Iran.
Democrats do not care. To them, all that matters is the narrative that they want people to believe. They want people to think that Trump does want a war with Iran.
So they passed a measure to supposedly stop that fro happening. Even though it isn’t happening.

The House on Thursday approved a measure aimed at restricting President Trump’s ability to go to war with Iran, a day after a number of lawmakers expressed frustration at the briefing where the administration provided its arguments for a drone strike that killed Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani.
