Pure, raw Anti-Semitism.
Democrat Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) started a firestorm by saying on Twitter that AIPAC pays lawmakers to support Israel. Both Democrats and Republicans have offered sharp rebukes, accusing the Minnesota Democrat of insinuating that Jews use money to get what they want.
On Monday Ilhan said “I unequivocally apologize” after speaking to “Jewish allies.”
She continued, “I reaffirm the problematic role of lobbyists in our politics, whether it be AIPAC, the NRA or the fossil fuel industry. It’s gone on too long and we must be willing to address it.
But while Ilhan Omar continued to attack Jewish money in politics and the AIPAC organization she took $60,000 from PACs including CAIR, a Hamas-linked jihadist organization.
