An illegal alien living in Oregon who killed two people when he ran a red light while driving drunk received only a 12 year sentence for his crime.
Eduardo De La Lima-Vargas, a Mexican national, was arrested in August after mowing down a young couple, 34-year-old Logan Wilson, and 32-year-old Jessica Wilson, according to The Salem Statesmen Journal.
He was driving a truck and pulling an occupied horse carriage. The Wilson’s were riding a motorcycle.
“De La Lima-Vargas was arrested on two counts of first-degree manslaughter, DUI, reckless driving and two counts of reckless endangerment following the deadly crash,” the report said. “He pleaded guilty to two counts of first-degree manslaughter and DUI Wednesday.”
