Mark Cuban, the billionaire owner of the Mavericks basketball team is backtracking on a plan to nix America’s national anthem from future games.
Cuban commented on his plan earlier this week, but now insists that was never the plan.
His idea sparked outrage and that might have something to do with his change of heart.

One day after Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban reportedly told The Athletic that the team decided not to play the national anthem at home games, the NBA released a statement regarding that the league will keep its “longstanding league policy.”
