Mayor Garcetti Suspends All Farmer’s Markets in Los Angeles After 44 Coronavirus Deaths Confirmed in City

Mayor Eric Garcetti on Monday announced he is suspending all farmer’s markets in Los Angeles after 44 deaths were confirmed in the city.

All farmer’s markets in place must submit new plans to the city to re-open.

It appears the ‘see something, say something’ campaign is finally working because Garcetti made the decision to suspend farmer’s markets after pictures of a crowded market in Brentwood went viral.

Mayor Eric Garcetti already announced that the city will be shutting off water and power to any non-essential businesses that defied orders and stayed open during the Coronavirus crisis.
