In a strange turn of events, Wall Street Journal has reported an embattled ex-lawyer to President Donald J. Trump secretly recorded a conversation with a CNN anchor, in which he admitted that he, not Trump, paid pornographic film actress Stormy Daniels $130,000.
“The recording—which is about two-hours long—included topics ranging from the alleged years-old Trump affair with the former porn star to the payment,” according to Fox News. “The reported tape could potentially be used by the White House to distance Trump from the Daniels payment and damage Cohen’s character.”
According to the report, Cohen admitted to paying Daniels himself in a meeting with CNN’s Chris Cuomo. Formerly, Cohen was a frequent guest on Cuomo’s show.
