No one is spared by woke culture.
Boeing’s communications chief Niel Golightly immediately resigned on July 2, 2020 after an employee complained about an article that the former U.S. military pilot wrote 33 years ago. In the article, he talked about how women should not serve in combat.
Golightly’s departure has Boeing attempting to fill a void in another important role for the fourth time in less than three years.
This comes at a time when Boeing is working to restore its image after the controversial grounding of its Boeing 737 MAX jetliner.
“My article was a 29-year-old Cold War navy pilot’s misguided contribution to a debate that was live at the time,” Golightly recounted in a statement featured in Boeing’s announcement.
