The coronavirus models used by the White House are dramatically overestimating the numbers who will potentially become afflicted with the sickness, according to analysis conducted by The Federalist co-founder Sean Davis.
Davis issued a report on social media showing that the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) model used by the White House is heavily skewed toward alarmist numbers.
The IMHE model for the Wuhan coronavirus that the White House is relying on is garbage. It is using NY/NJ data and applying it to the rest of the U.S.
It predicted that over 121,000 Americans would be hospitalized yesterday over the coronavirus. The actual number? 31,142. pic.twitter.com/vZCGXB5HLN

Davis also studied data on a state-by-state basis using the IHME model and found it to be severely flawed in every instance.
In Georgia, the IMHE model predicted that as of yesterday, 2,777 peole would have been hospitalized due to the Wuhan coronavirus. The actual number of people hospitalized in Georgia? 952. pic.twitter.com/5ony734jux
