A video maker named Ami Horowitz recently went on the streets of New York to make a point with hilarious results. He read quotes to people and asked them if the quote came from the Democratic Party’s official platform or from the Communist Manifesto. It was amazing how many times people couldn’t tell the difference!
The first quote was: We will push for a societal transformation. People thought that came from the Communist Manifesto but it actually comes from the Democrats.
The second quote was: We have established new classes, new conditions of oppression, new forms of struggle that replace the old ones. People thought that came from Democrats but it’s from the Communist Manifesto.
