People Must Wear Masks in Miami Beach Starting April 7

On April 7, 2020, Miami Beach is ordering employees and customers to wear some form of covering over their mouths and noses when they enter grocery stores, pharmacies, and restaurants in the city.

The city tacked on this mandate to the Emergency Order it unveiled on April 3.

This new order also applies to people doing food and drugstore deliveries.

Some of the coverings people could use are face masks or homemade masks. Scarfs, bandanas, and handkerchief can work. However, these covering methods cannot replace social distancing and should be used in tandem with the practice.

The order stated: “As to all other essential retail and commercial establishments permitted to remain open, employees and customers are strongly encouraged to wear a form of covering over their nose and mouth. […]
