President Donald Trump expressed confidence that the American medical research community will develop a vaccine for the coronavirus disease before the end of the year. The President was speaking in a Fox News town hall at the Lincoln Memorial on Sunday.
Such a research development would be unprecedented for a global disease, and would be a considerable human accomplishment.
“We are very confident that we’re going to have a vaccine at the end of the year, by the end of the year… We think we’re going to have a vaccine by the end of this year, and we’re pushing very hard.”
