“Russia” special counsel Robert Mueller knows that the Russians did not actually hack the Democratic National Committee in 2016 and that the Christopher Steele dossier — which he still uses in his “investigation” — is false.
Andrew Joseph points out that Steele dossier alleged culprit Aleksej Gubarev, a Russian tech exec living in Cyprus. The dossier claimed Gubarev was involved in hacking Democrats, but Gubarev staunchly denies the claims, said that U.S. government investigators including Mueller never contacted him, and is suing Buzzfeed for publishing the Steele dossier that defamed him. Buzzfeed, desperate to prove Russian collusion, worked on a legal defense effort to fend off Gubarev. But not a word from Mueller about Gubarev.
