Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan blamed President Donald Trump for the rising wave of criminal activity and political violence surfacing in her city, claiming that the President had somehow agitated Seattle residents to riot, destroy small businesses, and attack the police.
Seattle police made 45 arrests during a weekend riot on Saturday, in which ANTIFA-linked militants set fires to residential buildings and launched fireworks in a direct attack on a police station. The Democratic city is abolishing its county jail, and crime has increased by 525% since the creation of the since-failed anarchist commune known as CHAZ (Capital Hill Autonomous Zone) in the city’s downtown.
When asked about responsibility for the criminal activity by CNN’s Erin Burnett Monday, the mayor merely blamed Trump and the Department of Homeland Security.
