Sharpton: 2A Rally Insulting To King’s “Non-Violence”

Of all the people to be making this argument, the guy at the center of the Crown Heights Pogrom and the Freddy fire which was the most murderous hate crime in New York City in the 20th century, should probably shut the hell up.

Rev. Al Sharpton comments on a gun rally to be held in Virginia on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, saying that it adds “insult to injury” because King was “apostle of nonviolence” and that the rally is effectively cancelling MLK Day celebrations.

All the black people at the rally would seem to disagree.

The Second Amendment, like the first, is non-racial. It’s everyone’s right to bear arms. When everyone loses the right, then black people lose it too.

MLK knew that because he had applied for a concealed carry gun permit. And he had it denied.
