On Thursday, November 7, 2019, former Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe criticized Laura Ingraham’s “racist kind of talk” after the Fox News host argued that Democrat’s strong performance in statewide elections was largely due to an increase in the “foreign-born” population.
“She oughta take her racist policies, go sit with Donald Trump and have a good afternoon talking to each other,” McAuliffe said on CNN when questioned about Ingraham’s comments.
McAuliffe served as Virginia governor from 2014-2018.
“We don’t want that in the Commonwealth in Virginia,” he continued. “We are a strong state because of our diversity.”
The former Virginia Governor praised diversity, seeing it as a strength.
