Tweets posted on U.S. Sen. Tim Kaine’s official account show Kaine campaigning with a well-documented anti-Semite less than a week after the anniversary of the horrific “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville, VA.
While not mentioned by name in the Tweet, Kaine spent the day with Leslie Cockburn, who is the Democratic nominee for Virginia’s 5th Congressional District.
Cockburn has a well-documents history of peddling anti-Semitic conspiracy theories for over 25 years, and has come under fire by Jewish groups and Holocaust survivors.
