Former FBI General Counsel James Baker testified in October before the House Judiciary and Government Reform and Oversight Committees, and the newly-released transcripts from the hearings indicate that members of President Donald J. Trump’s own cabinet were bucking to have him removed from office under the 25th Amendment.
“According to Baker, Rosenstein and two cabinet members were ‘onboard with this concept’ of using the 25th Amendment as part of a coup to remove the president from office.
