The reelection campaign for President Donald J. Trump released a scathing statement after the release of the redacted Mueller Report, suggesting it is time to investigate the investigators, and that “justice will be served.”
Kaleigh McEnany posted the campaign’s statement after the Mueller Report was released in its redacted form earlier today, slamming the “liars who investigated this sham” and writing that the president has been fully exonerated.
“President Trump has been fully and completely exonerated yet again,” reads the statement, “Now the tables have turned, and it’s time to investigate the liars who instigated this sham investigation,” noting that it was politically motivated and held no basis in fact.
It continues, “There is simply no denying that ‘spying did occur’ on the Trump campaign in the 2016 election, as Attorney General Barr himself noted in testimony before Congress.”
