Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) heaped praise on President Donald Trump for his response to the Chinese coronavirus pandemic that she called “incredible and the right response in this critical time.”
She made the declaration on Twitter in response to news that the Trump administration was suspending mortgage foreclosures, demanding cash payments to Americans, and forcing firms to produce medical supplies under the Defense Production Act.

Trump has responded with emergency measures that some conservatives have criticized as being socialist, intervening in the marketplace to help Americans while the economy is at a standstill. The administration hopes to return to economic normalcy as soon as possible.
