Trump held a rally in North Carolina on Monday night that served two purposes.
He was rallying his base for 2020, but he was also rallying supporters for Republican Dan Bishop, who is facing off on Tuesday against Democrat Dan McCready in a special election.

President Donald Trump traveled here on Monday for an election-eve rescue mission in a neck-and-neck congressional race — and to boost his own standing in a key 2020 swing state.
Trump touted Republican Dan Bishop, the party’s nominee in Tuesday’s do-over election in the state’s 9th District, calling on residents to vote “to stop the radical left.”
