WALLS SUDDENLY WORK: Barrier Being Built Around Portland City Hall

The progressive city of Portland, Oregon is discovering the value of walls.

In light of all the protests and riots, a barrier is being built around city hall.

So walls work now?

KATU News reports:

City Hall, Portland Building walled off to stop graffiti during protests

City workers are putting up plywood around Portland’s City Hall and the Portland Building downtown after both buildings were repeatedly tagged with graffiti during the nightly protests calling for racial equality and denouncing police brutality.

The city said that the plywood enclosures put up Tuesday are to help preserve city resources, as a team has had to clean the buildings each day. They say the paint is especially damaging to the porous limestone of City Hall.
