On this episode of Blunt Force Truth, Chuck and Mark are joined by Ryan Mauro. Ryan is a national security expert and human rights advocate who has done extensive research in the Middle East. His research focuses on Islamic extremism and Biblical history.
Chuck and Mark kick off the show by Finding out more about Ryan’s latest film called Finding the Mountain of Moses: The Real Mount Sinai in Saudi Arabia. Ryan explains the premise of the film and explains how the Saudi Arabian government has hidden a possible significant Biblical landmark. Chuck also gets Ryan to break down some of the evidence supporting his film.
Their conversation moves into discussing the notion that we have defeated ISIS, and why looking at Islamic ideology is critical for understanding the fight against ISIS. They discuss some the mindset and beliefs of the Jihadist extremist groups. Ryan also explains some details about the true interpretation of Islam.
Also, they consider some of the misconceptions and lies about geopolitical and religious issues in the Middle East. Ryan explains how the American media is influenced by Islamic groups.
They finish up by discussing how our society does not strive to learn more and challenge their ideologies. They talk about the polarization in politics and lack of respect shown by those with different beliefs. They include some of the consequences that has resulted from this polarization and unwillingness to challenge personal ideologies.

Professor Ryan Mauro, Shillman Fellow and the National Security Analyst for the Clarion Project, a nonprofit organization that educates the public about the threat of Islamic extremism and provides a platform for voices of moderation and tolerance within the Muslim community.
Mauro also consults for various government agencies, political campaigns and policy-makers. He is a professor of homeland security, counter-terrorism and political science.
His research trips have repeatedly brought him to Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Turkey and Israel.
In addition to his national security work, he is also the President of the Doubting Thomas Research Foundation, a non-profit research foundation that researches reconciliations between Biblical history and modern understandings of science and archaeology.
Mauro has made over 1,000 appearances on international radio and TV programs, including frequent segments on FOX News Channel, Al-Hurra, CCTV, Voice of America, Wall Street Journal Live, etc. He’s been widely published and quoted in outlets like the New York Times, Washington Post, USA Today, The Hill, Roll Call and the Daily Caller.
