GILLIBRAND: Gun makers ‘want to sell’ to teens, suspected terrorists, mentally ill

Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand is apparently trying anything she can to gather support for her 2020 presidential campaign.

During a town hall hosted by the To Share Brewing, the New York lawmaker bizarrely claimed that gun manufacturers oppose universal background checks because they want to sell guns to kids, those who are mentally ill, and “someone on the terror watch-list.”

Her off-the-walls comments were in response to a woman in the audience asking Gillibrand about her position on gun control.

Gillibrand began her response by trashing the National Rifle Association, which she claimed opposes “common sense gun reform.”

Gillibrand then claimed that gun manufacturers “only care about gun sales.”

“Because the gun manufacturers only care about gun sales, they oppose the common sense reform that can save lives,” Gillibrand said.
