Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is not happy that her congressional duties are taking away from her time to do yoga.
While speaking to her supporters in an Instagram video, the New York socialist complained that her new duties as a soon-to-be member of Congress have resulted in her doing less yoga, eating more fast food, and falling asleep with her make-up on.
“I am starting a week of self-care where I am taking the week off and taking care of me. I don’t know how to do that, though, so I would appreciate any and all self-care tips,” she said.
Prior to complaining about not being able to offer “self-care” tips and broadcast herself cooking in the kitchen, Ocasio-Cortez also complained about not being able to pay her rent.
In response to a tweet from The Intercept about possible legislation against lawmakers who own stocks in companies, the 29-year-old socialist claimed she wasn’t allowed to “crash at a place as I wait for rent [money].”
This blows my mind: House Ethics Rules prevent me from receiving a $100 gift card, or crashing at a place as I wait for rent 💰, but somehow allow members w/ investment portfolios to write laws that will personally enrich them $1000s in their own stocks; potentially millions. https://t.co/E9L1cVubFe
